Can the NAXEON be legally ridden on streets in the USA?
Absolutely! The NAXEON meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulations. It comes with its own Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and, like any other vehicle, needs to be registered and insured for on-road use. So, you're all set to ride legally and safely!
Do l need a license and insurance to ride the NAXEON in the USA?
Yes, in the USA, you generally need a valid motorcycle license to ride the NAXEON electric motorcycle. The specific licensing requirements may vary by state, so it's important to check the regulations in your area. Additionally, insurance is required for road-legal vehicles. If you are financing the vehicle, proof of insurance will be necessary. Even if you are not financing, insurance may still be required for titling and registration. What are the helmet and protective gear requirements?
Helmet laws vary by state, but it is highly recommended to always wear a DOT-approved helmet and protective gear, including gloves, jackets, and boots, while riding.
What is the difference between automated and assisted titling and registration?
For automated titling and registration, NAXEON will generate and process all the necessary state-required paperwork for your vehicle with the DMV, meaning no trips to the DMV are necessary. For assisted titling and registration, NAXEON will provide the basic paperwork (Bill of Sale and Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin) so you can visit the DMV to complete the process yourself.
When will I receive my title and plates?
If you have already sent in all the relevant paperwork, NAXEON is processing the documents with the DMV as fast as possible. However, there may be delays at the DMV that NAXEON can not predict. Please reach out to NAXEON support if you would like to have a more detailed status of your title and registration.
Does NAXEON provide temporary tags while I wait for my metal plates, title, and/or registration?
Absolutely. For all road legal vehicles, NAXEON will email you a copy of a temporary registration tag that lasts up to 90 days once the vehicle is shipped or nearing delivery.
How much does automated titling and registration cost?
NAXEON provides this service at cost. The high price difference between automated and assisted is due to NAXEON collecting and remitting sales tax and registration fees that must be paid to the DMV at time of registration.
